SME marketing workshop
A marketing workshop can give a leadership team time to work through decisions that are hard to resolve between day-to-day demands. Its value depends on the preparation and what happens afterwards.
Bring a clear question
Choose the issue the session needs to address. It might be an unclear offer, a new audience, conflicting messages or a gap between sales and marketing. Trying to solve everything in one session usually produces a long list of ideas without a clear priority.
Use evidence from the business
Bring customer questions, sales feedback, examples of lost opportunities and the materials your team currently uses. These help the discussion move beyond personal preference. Include the people who understand the problem and those responsible for acting on the decisions.
Leave with decisions
The output should set out what has been agreed, what still needs checking and who will do what next. A concise brief and a short list of priorities are more useful than a presentation that nobody returns to.
A workshop can be the start of a longer piece of work. Follow-up matters: review the decisions, test the assumptions and support the people putting the plan into practice.
