Marketing is a marathon
Marketing needs continuity, but time alone does not make a plan effective. The work needs a clear purpose, regular delivery and a way to learn from the response.
Give the work a specific job
Decide what needs to improve: awareness with a defined audience, understanding of an offer, the quality of enquiries or support for a sales conversation. Choose the activity that serves that purpose.
Build a pace the team can maintain
A manageable programme is easier to sustain than a burst of activity that exhausts the team. Agree priorities, resources and responsibilities before adding more channels or content.
Review evidence at useful intervals
Allow enough time to assess the response, but do not continue weak work without questioning it. Use customer feedback, sales conversations and relevant measures to decide what to change.
Retain what you learn
Keep useful research, messages, images and project evidence organised. Each piece of work should make the next one easier to plan. A long-term relationship earns its value through that accumulated understanding and the decisions it helps you make.
