Business diagnostic · Privately owned businesses
Hit a ceiling?
Find the next move.
A starting point for business owners, boards and senior leadership teams. If growth feels harder, the offer is undersold or too much depends on the owner, use this self-assessment to identify what needs attention.
Growth. Investment. An eventual exit.
Ten questions to help you assess the foundations for your next stage. Designed for established, privately owned businesses with ambition and the capacity to act. Allow around five minutes.
You will receive a review of five areas and two starting priorities. No email is required. Your answers are processed in this page and are not submitted by this diagnostic.
Answer for how the business operates today. All questions are required. “Not sure” is a useful signal to investigate.
Your next move starts with focus.
How to read these results
Each answer contributes 0–3 points: Not yet / not sure = 0; Partly = 1; Mostly = 2; Clearly and consistently = 3. Each area has two questions, giving a score from 0–6. Scores of 0–2 flag a priority to review, 3–4 a foundation to strengthen, and 5–6 an established foundation based on your answers. These are organising prompts, not a benchmark against other businesses.
Make the next 90 days useful.
In the first 30 days, check these priorities against customer and commercial evidence. Over the next 30, agree the plan, responsibilities and resources. Use the following 30 to test a focused change and review what it tells you before expanding it.
This is a self-assessment, not a valuation or due-diligence review. It does not predict investment, sale value or an EBITDA multiple. Your answers have not been sent to AlignandPull.
