Capability without a clear market position
CSCM was an established IT support business serving SMEs, with capability extending into installations and data infrastructure. Organic growth had left its products and services difficult to explain, while its website and outward proposition understated the business behind them.
Competition was increasing. New entrants could present a convincing online offer, making it harder for buyers to distinguish between providers. CSCM needed to show the substance of its expertise and give customers a clearer basis for choosing it.
Finding the difference behind the familiar claims
We began with a workshop involving the CSCM team, exploring its capabilities, expertise, value and ambitions for growth. The question was not simply how to look different, but what customers needed to understand about the business.
The breadth of the offer mattered: support sat within a wider capability to install and manage IT infrastructure. The task was to make that relationship clear, rather than present another undifferentiated list of technical services.
A proposition with structure
With the target market understood, we defined the proposition and reorganised the product and service groupings. This gave the team a shared framework for explaining what CSCM offered and how its capabilities fitted together.
The identity and marketing assets followed that direction. Their role was to represent the business’s credentials and ambitions consistently, supporting a clearer position in a competitive SME market.
Strategy carried into digital delivery
We structured the new website around the proposition and renewed service groups. It became the central marketing tool for presenting the offer, helping prospective customers navigate the range and understand the expertise behind it.
The site was designed to be straightforward to administer, so content could remain relevant and develop with the business. The same framework gave the team a more coherent basis for marketing and sales conversations.
The proposition in practice

Making the existing value visible
The work connected internal clarity with external presentation: an organised offer, a defined proposition and a website reflecting CSCM’s capability. It addressed the gap between what the business could deliver and what buyers could see.
